About Us

Rooted in Data. Driven by Insight.

At Demetrica, we transform complex agricultural data into clarity, strategy, and action. Founded by Agata Kingsbury, a seasoned economist with nearly 20 years of experience in global commodity analysis, the company blends rigorous expertise with practical insight to help clients stay ahead in today’s rapidly evolving ag markets. Agata earned a doctorate degree in economics from the Warsaw School of Economics (Poland), as well as a Master of Science in management and leadership from Western Governors University (USA). Her academic background also includes postgraduate studies in EU funds administration and a Master of Arts in international economic and political relations, both from the Warsaw School of Economics.

Agata’s career bridges both U.S. and European institutions. At the Polish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, she served as a senior agricultural analyst, where she analyzed legislation and policies for compliance with international laws, drafted financial aid regulations under EU programs, evaluated grant applications, and monitored EU-funded agricultural program performance using quantitative data and metrics. She independently conducted complex market outlooks and economic research to inform national policy decisions.

At the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service (USDA FAS) in Poland, Agata worked as a subject matter expert on agricultural commodities and foreign policy intelligence. She advised the U.S. Agricultural Attaché on strategy and analysis, providing timely, in-depth market intelligence to advance U.S. agricultural trade interests. Her work covered a wide spectrum of commodities including grains, oilseeds, sugar, horticulture, forestry, and biofuels, alongside responsibilities for livestock markets. She authored GAIN reports, prepared commodity baselines and forecasts for USDA’s World Agricultural Outlook Board (WAOB) and closely tracked evolving EU policies that shaped regional supply and demand.

Later, as a Senior Economist at USDA FAS headquarters in Washington DC, she led the oilseeds forecast team contributing directly to the WASDE reports, one of the most widely cited sources in global agriculture. In addition to producing national and international projections, she also mentored junior analysts in building and refining forecasting, with a focus on accuracy, transparency, and strategic insight.

Today, that deep foundation powers Demetrica - a woman-owned small business offering high-impact analysis across oilseeds, vegetable oils, grains, and horticultural markets. Whether you're a trader, processor, NGO, investor, or policy advisor, Demetrica delivers trusted forecasts, market outlooks, and current commentary to guide smarter decisions in agriculture and global trade.
